One to One – Yoga, Nutrition & Massage
A one to one class is a private session between you and the teacher. Often, the class will start with a discussion, to allow the teacher to get to know you and to understand your aims, needs and abilities. At the end of the class, the teacher designs a practice for you to repeat at home.
One to one teaching is a great way to adapt yoga to the individual student. It is the traditional way of teaching yoga, and allows for the holistic and therapeutic applications to be fully explored. One to one sessions can help with the following:
- Explore different areas of yoga practice: postures, meditation, breathing exercises, chanting…
- Personalise your yoga practice according to your individual needs, ensuring the teaching is fully adapted to the student’s deeds and capacities.
- It gives the student the guidance and independence to practise at home, as often as they wish.
So if you are enjoying your group classes, but want something more tailored to your needs, you may want to consider taking a one to one class. Or, if you are completely new to yoga, but want to get some bespoke direction, then a one to one can be a good place to start.
